New Year Blessings!

As we enter 2026, I want to remind you – because we need reminders all the time! – that GOD LOVES YOU!  

Our world slowly convinces us that our worth is defined by external standards: what we own, what we achieve, and what others think of us. But we are not defined by these things. We are defined by an external promise: God’s love revealed in Christ.

God’s love is not dependent on us. God’s love is steadfast and everlasting. A wellspring flowing freely.

Through God’s Word, Baptism, and Holy Communion, God speaks these promises to us again and again: I love you. You are mine. I call you by name. You belong to me. And I will never let you go.

You are a beloved child of God. Period. Full stop.

My prayer for you in the year ahead is that you experience God’s love in deep and meaningful ways – and that you make space in your weekly rhythms to rest, trust, and dwell in this love.  

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39).
