Confirmation Class is for students 6th grade and above seeking to Affirm their Baptism (be "Confirmed"). Confirmation is a three-year program where students study with Pastor Sean and other adult leaders the Old Testament, New Testment, and Lutheran worship and theology. Other components include service projects and field trips to other churches or non-Christian communities of faith. It's a formative time for students to begin owning their faith and discerning what they believe and why. Students can decide to affirm their baptism at the end of the program - which means saying YES to the work God has done already inside them. And then, we throw a party to celebrate with them!
