The Saturday Work Group will meet on Aug. 10, beginning with coffee at 9am and wrapping up no later than noon. We'll focus on checking off the list of tasks and volunteer opportunities both inside and outside, and we'll talk more about some upcoming major projects. Feel free to connect with Nancy Hemsath if you have questions or want to add a project to the list.

This is a special celebration for our students and school staff as they begin a new school year. Join us in blessing them with our prayers and words of encouragement! Students and school staff are invited to bring their backpacks, bookbags, or lunch bags! We'll also have some gifts to give away! Invite your friends! A fun all-church brunch follows worship!

Every year Joy collects school supplies for our local schools. This is one of the many ways that we support our community's children, teachers, and school staff. These supplies help ensure there is enough for kids to learn fully equipped and eases the burden on teachers to purchase their own supplies - becase they spend a lot of their own money each year! Join us in supporting our schools! Donation bins are located inside the main entrance and narthex beginning Sunday, July 14th. 

If you'd like to donate funds towards purchasing school supplies, please DONATE HERE. 100% of the proceeds will be used to purchase school supplies or food items for the school food pantry.

We are seeking a Director for our Joy Child Development Center (JCDC) who is responsible for ensuring effective and efficient operations of the center. JCDC provides quality education and childcare services for the local community and maintains an excellent reputation among local elementary schools. Come join our team!

Confirmation class begins in September (dates TBD). Confirmation is designed for students in grades 6-8. If you have a student in high school desiring to participate in Confirmation, please e-mail Pastor Sean.

Confirmation is a three-year program equipping young teenagers to engage more fully in their faith and say "yes" to God's good work in them. Students will study scripture and reflect with the pastor, youth leaders, and other adults in the congregation, learn about the Lutheran perspective on Christian faith, engage in service projects, and learn more about worship practices. 

At the end of the three years, students have the opportunity to affirm their baptism before the congregation  and then we throw a party to celebrate God's work of love and grace in their lives!
