May is Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) Awareness Month.
At the recent Synod Assembly, the body passed a resolution brought by Christ Lutheran in Soldotna to commemorate Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women Awareness Day on May 5th each year. One way this can be done is by wearing red this coming Sunday. Other actions will be developed for future education and advocacy.
